Are Moroccan night buses comfortable enough to sleep on?

Moroccan night buses on the premium lines (CTM and Supratours) are reasonably comfortable — reclining seats, air-conditioning and rest stops — so light sleepers can doze, but few people get a truly good night’s sleep on them. They’re a practical way to cover long distances and save a night’s accommodation, rather than a luxurious one.

The air-con can be cold, so bring a layer, and the frequent stops, lights and announcements interrupt deep sleep. An eye mask, earplugs, a neck pillow and something warm make a big difference.

Keep valuables physically on you while you sleep and your bag close, as petty theft is the main risk. If a rested arrival matters, consider a daytime bus or train and a proper bed instead, especially before a big day like a desert tour.
