Can you take a bicycle on Moroccan trains?

You can generally take a bicycle on Moroccan trains, but rules vary by service and it’s easiest if the bike is folded or partly dismantled and bagged, and you travel outside peak times. There’s no dedicated bike carriage on most trains, so you rely on luggage space at the ends of carriages, which is limited.

On the high-speed Al Boraq, space is tighter and a boxed or folding bike is the realistic option; on regular ONCF trains a standard bike may be accepted in the vestibule if it’s quiet. Staff have discretion, so being flexible and off-peak helps.

For certainty, check current ONCF policy before you travel and arrive early to load. Long-distance CTM/Supratours buses can also carry a bagged bike in the hold for a small fee, which is sometimes the simpler route.
