How humid is Essaouira in summer?

Essaouira in summer is mild and breezy rather than oppressively humid — the strong Atlantic trade winds keep temperatures down (often low-to-mid 20s°C) and prevent the sticky heat you get inland, though sea air brings some moisture and morning cloud. It’s one of the most comfortable summer spots in Morocco.

While Marrakech bakes at 40°C+, Essaouira stays fresh thanks to the constant wind, which is why Moroccans and travellers escape to the coast in July and August. The trade-off is that the wind can be strong enough to make the beach feel cool.

Expect pleasant days, cooler evenings and that characteristic breeze rather than tropical humidity. A light layer for the wind is more useful here in summer than anything for heat.
