When does the Marrakech heat break in September?
The Marrakech heat starts easing through September, with the fierce peak of high summer fading in the first half of the month and noticeably more comfortable days by late September, when highs settle into the low-to-mid 30s°C. It’s a transitional month: hot early on, pleasantly warm by the end.
Early September can still hit 38°C+, so the same early-and-late sightseeing rhythm as summer helps; by the last week, evenings are cooler and full days out become easier. Nights gradually turn pleasant.
By October, Marrakech reaches its lovely autumn sweet spot of warm days and mild evenings. If you’re visiting in September, aim for the later half of the month for the most comfortable conditions.
