Itineraries & routing
Is 7 days enough for Morocco first time?
Seven days is enough for a great first taste of Morocco, but you’ll need to focus rather than try to see everything — a classic week is Marrakech plus a two- or three-day Sahara loop, or Marrakech and Fes linked by the desert. Trying to cram in the whole country in a week means too much driving and too little enjoyment.
A well-judged 7-day plan might be: a couple of days in Marrakech, a 3-day desert tour to Merzouga (ideally finishing in Fes), then time in Fes before flying home. That gives you the imperial cities, the Atlas and the Sahara without exhausting transfers.
Save the coast, the north (Chefchaouen, Tangier) and the far south for a longer or future trip. Pick one strong route and travel it well, and a week leaves you wanting more in the best way.
