Can you do Morocco north to south without flying?

Yes, you can travel Morocco north to south entirely by land — the high-speed Al Boraq train links Tangier, Rabat and Casablanca, regular trains and buses reach Marrakech and Fes, and Supratours/CTM coaches continue to the desert and far south. The country is well connected by rail and road, so flying internally is rarely necessary.

A typical overland run goes Tangier → Fes (or Rabat/Casablanca) → Marrakech by train, then a bus or organised tour into the Sahara and the south. Grand taxis fill the gaps to smaller towns.

Overland travel is cheaper, greener and lets you see the changing landscapes that flying skips. The only time a domestic flight helps is to save a very long haul to the deep south (like Dakhla), which is far from everywhere.
