Is a 5 day Morocco trip too short with kids?

A 5-day Morocco trip with kids isn’t too short if you keep it simple and slow — base yourself in one place like Marrakech and add a gentle day trip or a single overnight, rather than attempting long desert drives. With children, less really is more, and a relaxed base beats a packed circuit.

A workable family five days: Marrakech with its gardens, souks and a cooking class or pool time, plus a day trip to the Ourika Valley or the Agafay desert for a camel ride, and maybe one easy overnight. Long transfers and a rushed Merzouga run are hard on little ones.

If the Sahara dunes are a must and the kids are older, a 4-day desert tour can work but is demanding. For under-8s on a short trip, a calm city base with short excursions makes for a happier holiday.
