Can non-Muslims enter mosques in Morocco?
Generally no — non-Muslims cannot enter most working mosques in Morocco, with the notable exception of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, which offers guided tours to visitors of all faiths. This is a long-standing rule in Morocco, so you admire the great mosques from outside rather than entering.
A few other religious sites are open, such as some historic medersas (Koranic schools) like the Bou Inania in Fes and the Ben Youssef in Marrakech, which are former religious colleges now open to all and stunning to visit. Courtyards and gates of active mosques can often be seen and photographed from outside.
When you do visit any religious site that admits non-Muslims, dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered. The Hassan II Mosque tour is the best way to see the interior grandeur of a Moroccan mosque.
