Are there baby changing facilities in Moroccan restaurants?
Baby-changing facilities are uncommon in Moroccan restaurants and public places, so most parents change babies on a portable mat in a quiet corner, on a bench, or back at their riad. Modern malls, some international-chain cafés and upmarket hotels are your best bet for a proper changing space.
Carry a foldable changing mat, plenty of wipes, hand sanitiser and nappy bags, since you’ll often improvise. Riad and hotel rooms are the reliable place for changes when you’re out for the day nearby.
It’s simply a facility that hasn’t become standard here yet, rather than a hostility to babies — Moroccans adore children. Come prepared with your own kit and you’ll manage easily.
