Overview

This 8-day tour from Fes to the imperial cities and the Merzouga Sahara reveals the finest of Morocco’s culture and people — an authentic Moroccan experience. Beginning and ending in Fes, your senses will feast on unique colours, sights, sounds, and scents: stunning mosques, bustling streets, and exquisite handmade crafts.

These cities are ancient, and visiting them feels like stepping back in time. Along the way you pass archaeological sites, including Roman ruins. The world’s most famous tanneries, palaces, markets, tombs, and gardens create images that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

You’ll have ample time to experience everything these cities offer. You also cross agricultural landscapes of olive groves and orange orchards, and the famous Middle Atlas Mountains, where the views are breathtaking.

Today is all about Marrakech, best known for its central square, Jemaa el Fna, where stalls serve dried fruit and fresh orange juice.

The tour covers the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the El Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Koranic school, and the Saadian Tombs.

After a day of excitement, return to your accommodation — and enjoy another evening of fun downtown if you wish.

We typically depart at 8:15 am for Ouarzazate, climbing into the High Atlas Mountains and over the Tichka pass. The day includes a visit to the Telouet Kasbah.
