We depart from Fes towards Merzouga, crossing the Middle Atlas and its cedar forests — a mountain range that stretches 350 km across Morocco.
We pass through towns like Ifrane, called “the Moroccan Switzerland” for the style of its houses and its exclusive ski slopes, and Azrou, one of Morocco’s best-known Berber towns.
We also travel through the Ziz Valley and the Ziz Gorges, visiting towns like Midelt and Erfoud. From Erfoud, an open desert road takes us to Merzouga.
As dusk falls, you ride camels to the camp — and after an evening meal, you sleep among the dunes.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After this amazing sight, you ride your camel back to the hotel for a shower and breakfast — the energy you’ll need for the day ahead.
Back on the main road, you pass through the Tafilalet palm groves and the village of Rissani, a town rich in Moroccan royal history, before reaching Alnif. You then cross the majestic Anti-Atlas mountains, glimpsing ancient Berber settlements between Tazarine and N’kob. Don’t miss the Draa Valley, a historical treasure nestled among sprawling date palms.
After climbing the Tizi n’Tinififft pass, you reach Ouarzazate and take a break for lunch. With a full stomach, you can visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — a longer or shorter visit depending on the season. Then we return to Marrakech, arriving around 7 pm, and drop you at your hotel. That’s where your two-day tour from Fes to Marrakech through the Sahara ends.
