Your 3-day tour departs from your hotel or riad in Fes, traveling through the Middle Atlas and its cedar forest. We pass Ifrane, a well-known mountain resort, then Midelt, famous for its minerals and apples. We follow the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, known for its fossil craftwork, before heading on to Rissani.
On arrival, we enter the Erg Chebbi desert and meet your experienced desert guide. Get ready for a comfortable, safe camel ride over the Merzouga dunes, followed by a peaceful night’s sleep at our well-equipped Sahara camp. As the first day of your desert adventure ends, you can count on our commitment to your comfort and safety.

Day two starts in the Merzouga desert — and it’s worth getting up early for the splendour of a desert sunrise and the incredible peace of the Sahara. Enjoy the calm and the shifting colours as the sun climbs over the dunes.
Back at the camp, breakfast and a hot shower refresh you for the day’s adventure, and your camel carries you to the starting point.
Then you set out to explore all the interesting spots around the Erg Chebbi dunes: the seasonal Lake Srij, Khamlia village for Gnawa music, the old Mifis mines with their varied stones, and finally a visit to a nomad family.
You arrive back in the afternoon with leisure time for the rest of the day, then spend the night at an in-town hotel or riad in the Merzouga desert.

Today you say goodbye to the desert — and you’ll surely leave with wonderful memories. We head for Fes via the Rissani market, the largest souk in the area, then Erfoud, an unassuming town famous for its marble-cutting and fossils. Enjoy the stunning Ziz Valley and its palm-grove scenery all the way to Midelt, a city famous for its apples.
We can take a quick lunch break at a café, or in the small town of Zaida further along.
We continue back to Fes by way of the Azrou cedar forest, arriving around 6 pm. We drop you and your luggage at your hotel, where your 3-day tour from Fes through the Merzouga desert ends.
