What plug adapter do you need for Morocco?

Morocco uses European-style plugs — Type C and Type E, the two round pins — running on 220–240V, so travellers from the UK, US and elsewhere need a European (round two-pin) adapter. If you already have an EU adapter, it works throughout Morocco.

UK and US visitors definitely need an adapter; most EU visitors don’t. Because the voltage is 220–240V, check that dual-voltage devices like phone and laptop chargers are rated for it (almost all are), while high-wattage items like some hairdryers may need a converter, not just an adapter.

A universal travel adapter with USB ports is the easiest solution and covers multiple devices. Pack at least one, as sockets can be scarce in older riads and desert camps.
