Google Maps gets you close to your riad but often not to the door — it works to the nearest medina gate or main lane, then the tangle of tiny unnamed alleys defeats it, so most riads arrange to meet you at a known landmark. Download the offline map and save the exact pin, but plan on the last stretch being on foot with help.

The reliable method is to tell your riad your arrival time so they can send someone to meet you at the nearest car-accessible point, since taxis can’t enter the pedestrian medina anyway. Keep the riad’s phone number and a screenshot of their directions offline.

Maps.me or Organic Maps sometimes show medina footpaths better than Google. But for a stress-free arrival, especially after dark or with luggage, let the riad guide you in that first time.
