Can you bring a drone through Moroccan customs?

Bringing a drone into Morocco is heavily restricted — drones are frequently confiscated at customs on arrival, sometimes held until you leave, because private drone import and use are tightly controlled. Travellers regularly report their drones being taken at the airport, so bringing one is a real risk.

There is an official process to seek authorisation, but it’s bureaucratic and rarely practical for a normal tourist trip, and simply turning up with a drone usually ends with it being held. If it’s taken, you may be able to reclaim it on departure, but that’s not guaranteed.

Unless you’ve arranged proper permits in advance, the safest advice is to leave the drone at home. Attempting to bring one in undeclared can cause serious hassle and loss of the equipment.
