Can you enter Morocco from Ceuta on foot?

Yes, you can enter Morocco from the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on foot at the Tarajal border crossing, walking across from the Ceuta side into Morocco near Fnideq. It’s a land border crossing, so you pass through Spanish exit and Moroccan entry controls on foot before continuing by taxi or bus.

The crossing can be crowded, slow and chaotic, especially at busy times, so allow plenty of time and keep your passport and documents handy. On the Moroccan side you’ll find grand taxis and buses onward to Tetouan, Chefchaouen and beyond.

Have your passport stamped properly on entry and keep any paperwork. Note that a Moroccan rental car generally can’t cross into Ceuta, so foot crossing is the usual way to combine the enclave with mainland Morocco.
