Program Itinerary of the 6 Days Tour from Casablanca

Day 1

Casablanca » Rabat » Fes [294 Km]

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we depart for Fes, stopping at Meknes on the way.

We also visit several places of interest, including the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a World Heritage Site. After lunch in Meknes, we continue to Fes, arriving in the late afternoon. You have dinner and sleep at your accommodation.

Day 2

Explore Fes City with a Local guide

The day begins with a tour of old Fes. The city has three faces: Fes el-Bali, the medieval medina; Fes el-Jdid, the newer quarter; and the Ville Nouvelle, built in the French era.

The endless streets of this medieval city captivate everyone who visits. There is so much to see: the Mellah (the Jewish quarter), the Plaza of the Dyers, the Andalusian Mosque, and much more.

After the tour, we take you to your riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Fes » Azrou » Midelt » Ziz Valley » Merzouga Sahara [469 km]

After breakfast, we continue towards the Merzouga desert, stopping at points of interest as we enter the Middle Atlas.

First comes Ifrane, a charming town quite unlike the rest of Morocco — a little cooler, with distinctly European architecture. We then head to Azrou, where you can see extinct volcanic peaks, including Jebel Hebri (2,104 m).

We also visit Azrou’s ancient cedar forest, full of friendly monkeys you can even feed. The town is known for its cedar craftwork, and we take a quick tour of its sights.

We continue to Midelt, set between the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas, where we stop for lunch. Then it’s on through the Ziz Valley to see the vast red gorges and the great oasis, with its beautiful villages and adobe kasbahs.

We arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon. Leave your luggage at our auberge and take only what you need for the night. Depending on our arrival time, there may be tea and a rest while the camels are prepared. Then your Erg Chebbi adventure begins.

After an hour and a half enjoying the beautiful colours of the sand, we reach the camp at sunset. You enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, then a night of live music and drums — and we invite you to join us under the vast, starry sky.

Day 4

Explore Merzouga area & Visit a nomad family [45 km]

The next day, you’re up at dawn for the sunrise. At midday, we visit a nomadic family, where you can taste Berber pizza and watch it being made under a shaded tree.

After lunch and a rest, we take a desert route to visit an oasis, the village of Khamlia, the Mifis mines, and the Berber nomads who live on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Day 5

Merzouga Sahara Desert » Rissani » Draa Valley » Ouarzazate [368 km]

The morning after your camel trek, take a shower and then continue to Rissani, where a large marketplace hums with traders selling all kinds of goods, including handicrafts.

After lunch, we continue to the Draa Valley to take in the area’s beautiful nature, stopping for photos of this precious place. When we reach Ouarzazate, a good meal, a bed, and comfortable accommodation await.

Day 6

Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [195 km]

After breakfast, we visit the Kasbah Taourirt, a World Heritage Site of many towers and walls, where Jewish and Islamic heritage mingle.

We then visit the fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and the backdrop of famous movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy. It’s one of the best-preserved kasbahs in all of Morocco; kasbahs were built to protect homes, crops, and palm trees.

Next stop: the Kasbah Telouet, in Telouet village, once a key stage on the route across the High Atlas from Marrakech. The kasbah is decaying, but it still has a certain charm.

We stop several times to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and breathe the fresh air. Your six-day tour from Casablanca ends when we arrive in Marrakech.

★★★★★ ✔ Tripadvisor
100% Suggested My flights were scheduled two days in advance, and I appreciate that Mohamed got back to me and tailored a schedule that included everything I wanted to see and do in Morocco! Morocco has captured my heart, and I will return for further tours! Mohamed became my part-time photographer in addition to being an excellent driver! His service had a significant positive impact on my experience. What occurs when you travel alone. I only have wonderful things to say and have made some really special memories. Gratitude for everything, Morocco Day Tour.
