Is it legal to bring prescription medication into Morocco?

Yes, you can bring your personal prescription medication into Morocco, but carry it in its original labelled packaging with a copy of the prescription, and check that none of your medicines contain substances that are controlled or banned locally. Some drugs that are routine elsewhere — certain strong painkillers, sedatives or psychotropics — are restricted, so verify before you fly.

Keep medicines in your hand luggage, bring enough for the trip plus a little spare, and a doctor’s letter for anything unusual or injectable helps at customs. Declare controlled medications if required.
