How long does passport control take at Marrakech airport?

Passport control at Marrakech airport can take anywhere from 20 minutes to well over an hour, depending on how many flights land together and the time of day, as arrivals queues here are notorious for building up. It’s the main frustration of arriving in Marrakech, so brace for a wait at busy times.

You’ll fill in a small arrival card (have your accommodation address and a pen ready to speed things up), then queue for the stamp. Arriving off-peak, or being near the front of your plane, helps you beat the crush.

Once through, the airport is small and a taxi or transfer to the medina is quick. If you have a tour or transfer meeting you, they’re used to the unpredictable wait, so don’t panic if it’s slow.
