Yes, you can get by in Morocco with only English, especially in tourist areas, hotels, tours and popular restaurants where English is widely understood — but a few words of French or Arabic help a lot away from the tourist trail. Morocco is well used to international visitors, so English alone rarely leaves you stuck.

In the souks, riads, guided tours and main sights, staff and sellers generally speak enough English to communicate. In smaller towns, with taxi drivers, or in local cafés, English thins out and basic French or Darija phrases bridge the gap.
