On this day trip, you will explore the Merzouga area & Erg Chebbi dunes toward Safsaf Oasis
Overview:
A fantastic Merzouga Day Trip to the unexplored serene Oasis of Safsaf, where you’ll see nomad families, have lunch, swim in the oasis, and see all the noteworthy sights along the route.
Around 10:00 am, we will leave our guesthouse near the Erg Chebbi to go towards SafSaf Oasis, close to the Algerian Border (about 1 km).
We will make frequent stops for you to soak in the breathtaking landscape. One of the highlights will be our visit to a nomad family, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to share a traditional Berber welcome tea with them.
From Merzouga, we will continue to Safsaf Oasis. It is a stunning place, enclosed by uninhabited high hills and a lush palm tree, with a river of the same name, which is crossed. We will enjoy lunch in such a paradise-like environment.
As the sun rises, we will bid farewell to SafSaf and embark on a trail to the Tissardmine Oasis. This oasis is a captivating blend of rock, water, and lush vegetation, a sight that will surely leave you in awe. We’ll pause for some memorable photos before continuing to our accommodation to conclude our journey.
