Do you need vaccinations to travel to Morocco from the UK?
No specific vaccinations are legally required to enter Morocco from the UK, but health authorities commonly recommend being up to date on routine jabs plus hepatitis A and typhoid, and sometimes hepatitis B, for most travellers. Check with your GP or a travel clinic several weeks before you go, as advice depends on your plans and health.
Hepatitis A and typhoid cover the food-and-water risks that matter most in Morocco, and tetanus should be current. Rabies vaccination is sometimes suggested for those doing remote rural travel or working with animals.
Morocco is not a malaria area, so anti-malarials aren’t needed. Consult the NHS/Fit for Travel guidance and a travel nurse well ahead, since some vaccines need time to take effect.
