Once in Merzouga, camels await us on the outskirts of the dunes that dominate Merzouga to guide us on a journey deep into the dunes, which are absolute silence.
It is an excellent chance to capture beautiful sunset photos and do Sandboarding following an excellent meal. We will spend the night at the Merzouga camping site (Nomad Berber camp) with drums music in the middle of the Sahara under the stars.
After experiencing the sunrise in the desert, we head back to Merzouga on camels or a 4×4 vehicle to Merzouga for a different option. Fantastic experience: seeing Erg Chebbi in the Marrakech desert
We got the chance to travel last week for 2 days to the desert, We had a dromedary ride over the vast desert, saw the lovely settlements of Risani and Quazarzate, and spent the night in a tent among hundreds of stars while listening to the sound of drums. We visited the breathtaking canyons, the valley of flowers, and miles and miles of palm palms!
Our guide and driver, Omar, was very polite, respectful, friendly, and with a very good disposition, making this an excellent experience! Mohamed our contact, being always aware of us made us feel safe!
the chance to interact so closely with the culture by having them welcome us into their house and provide us to a delectable meal.
Thank you very much for our first visit to Morocco—but not the only one! We will return with the same company, and we recommend them 100%!
A dream trip
Last week, we traveled from Marracket to the Merzouga Desert, driving a 4×4 over the Atlas with our instructions, Omar, and his team. Apart from being beautiful and knowing how to be, they showed us their professionalism and knowledge of a perfectly structured and coordinated tour.
There are wonderful times and locations to experience the art of its exquisitely spiced cuisine, with stops in unexpected places that have left us enamored with this nation for its beauty, contrasts, and light, and most importantly, the hospitality of its Berber people, who make us feel like friends for life.
We rode dromedaries from the hotel to the top of the enormous dune, where we saw a stunning sunset, and we visited and drank tea in the tents of the nomads living in the desert. In the end, we slept in their tents, stargazing and taking in the quiet of the desert. It was an unforgettable trip in the company of Said and his team, who achieved something as difficult as not feeling like a tourist.
Fantastic Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour 2 days
It is wise to choose this 2-day and 1-night tour through the Merzouga desert. Hassan, the guide, is amiable and highly attentive. The lodging is excellent. In the tent, you have adequate comfort for the arid night. I would repeat this tour with a stay of more than a day in the desert.
