A fortified village with crenellated towers is among the most stunning Kasbahs in the Glaus region. The Kasbah then makes its way to Ouarzazate and then an anti-atlas. It passes by the Draa Valley and its river, where several tiny villages are situated along the valley’s edge on the route.
One of the most enormous valleys in Morocco, It is a massive green tongue that runs through the desert for about 250 miles. It will lead you to Zagora and then to Zagora, the place we had hoped for and where our camels will cross the sand dunes. The trip will last two hours, trekking with camels and then a night out in the middle of the Sahara desert, sleeping in nomad tents and complete silence so that we can enjoy the evening, the stars, and the moon. Overnight and dinner at the campsite in the desert (tent). This is where the first day of our 2-day desert excursion from Marrakech to Zagora closes.
On the 2nd day of our 2-day desert tour that runs from Marrakech to Zagora in the morning, following breakfast, we travel to Ouarzazate via The Draa valley (164 kilometres of the asphalted road), which leads us to many villages and oases. Excellent 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora
Everything was just as it was described; we upgraded to a private camp with showers and facilities, which was definitely worth the money. The driver was accommodating and the 2 days tour went smoothly and quickly.
Overall, the camel ride was entertaining and the cuisine at the camp was amazing. The desert camp and our Berber guide were outstanding. The sunset and sunrise in the camp were breathtaking.
I would not make this trip with small children because there is a lot of driving (around 360 km each day), but it was okay for us. Important advice: because there will be traveling across mountains and on winding roads, make sure you bring medicine in case you feel car sick. We didn’t have those problems and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
Excellent Zagora desert trip
The driver was courteous and kind, spoke excellent English, and the journey went well. The riad was picked up on time.
We also made enough stops along the route. As a result, we captured stunning images.
The conditions in the camp in the desert were far better than anticipated. The people there were friendly and served us good food. On the second day, we made it back to Marrakech on time.
On the way, lunch was good at a calm restaurant. Overall, it was an excellent adventure, and we are already considering a Merzouga—Fes trip for our next Morocco trip.
Thank you, Mustapha! You are the best driver, and this was one of the best trips I’ve ever had.
Given the amount of driving required, we weren’t sure if we should go on this desert excursion. It might be boring spending so much time in the car, and your life is in the hands of someone you don’t know.
We had a great driver, so I’m glad we seized the chance. He was extremely clean and drove amazingly well. He also spoke four languages fluently and took us to unique spots.
Also, the landscape was continually changing, so we were amazed at each turn. It was completely worth it. We are looking forward to doing a longer trip.
